Youth Action Nepal (YOAC) came into existence in the year 2003 as an initiative of a few university students concerned with the vulnerable social, economic and political situation of the country, especially in the context of the armed conflict. The youths decided to contribute to human rights protection and promotion by involving fellow youths at a time when the nation was at its worst.

Friends of Youth Action (FOYA) is a group of young volunteers having a zeal and urge towards social work. Established in 4th Jan 2007 with 45 active, dedicated and enthusiastic members, it has now expanded with more than 100 young volunteers. Now it has been proved to be an open platform to learn and provide something to society and nation through volunteerism. It is not only the place to help other but is the open space to explore oneself.

тАЛYagya Prasad Sapkota life became beyond his imagination and thinking as well. He went for foreign employment by taking debt in the hope that he will give his family a good and better life. But the expectation and desire became vain as he return back home after a month due to illness. He said he did not get good work in a company as he was promise before going to foreing country.

After returning home, he suffer from economic crisis. In a same time he came in contact with Youth Action Nepal and involved in its program. Knowing about his condition and willingness to do micro entarpenuership Youth Action Nepal gave him 20 thousends rupees from the Youth Employment and Scholarship Fund. From that money he open a small hotel in Rajipur Bazaar, Kailali. Now he is able to deduct his debt from the earning of hotel. Now he is fulfilling his family's needs. He said, 'Youth Action has shown me the way and bring me here.'

In a few period of time, Yagya Prasad Sapkota brings positive change in his life and became an example in his village.
